Beginners day - Make a pair of Pj bottoms
Saturday 13th August , 10-4pm, cost £60
This workshop is suited to those wishing to start to learn to sew and may be used as a taster before embarking on regular classes.
During this session we will look at the following to get you started -
Set up and thread a sewing machine, Sew straight and curved seams, read and understand the multi size pattern including all the jargon that is used, learn to take your measurements and chose the right size pattern, correct pining and cutting out techniques, plus how to finish your garment with an elastic waist and a simple hem.

Cushion day - chose from a selection of different cushions to make
Tailor technique day - looking at items such as welt pockets, bound button holes, jetted pocket , covered buttons and much more .

Have you made a start with your patchwork or maybe you would like to give it a try. If this is you then why not come along to the first of the new Patchwork club sessions. These sessions will be held once every two months. The aim of the workshops is to let you undertake a patchwork project of your choice while giving you the opportunity to learn all the key points to help you get underway with your patchwork while learning new blocks at each session.
